What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your browser or device when you visit, letting the site remember your actions and preferences — login status, language, content settings — over time. Cookies can be first-party (set by fetish.haus directly) or third-party (set by a service we work with), and session (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent (remain for a set period).

We also use similar technologies that function like cookies: pixels, web beacons and tags; local storage and similar browser/device storage (HTML5 local storage, IndexedDB); SDKs in app experiences where applicable; and device or online identifiers that help recognize a returning visitor. In this policy, "cookies" refers to all of these unless stated otherwise. This policy works together with the Privacy Policy, which controls if there is any conflict about personal-information handling.

02

The categories we use

Not every category above is currently deployed — Appendix A is the authoritative list of what is running today, and we update it when the cookies we use change. Strictly Necessary cookies always operate. All other categories are non-essential and subject to your choices below.

Current status of Advertising/Targeting cookies: we do not currently deploy any Advertising/Targeting cookies, pixels, or retargeting identifiers on the Site, and we do not currently run third-party analytics. If we introduce them, we will update Appendix A and provide the category-level controls described in Section 4 before they go live.

  • Strictly Necessary — required for the Site to function; cannot be switched off. Authenticating Members and Creators; keeping you logged in; routing and load balancing; security, CSRF, and fraud detection; remembering your 18+ age-gate acknowledgment and age-verification status so you are not re-prompted; remembering your cookie choices; processing checkout via our payment processors.
  • Functional / Preferences — remember choices for a more personalized experience: display, playback, and language settings; Raw/Vault/Private Access view preferences; volume, quality, and content-filter preferences; non-essential UI state.
  • Analytics / Performance — help us understand how the Site is used: counting visits and traffic sources; which pages and Content areas are used; diagnosing errors and slow pages; aggregated, de-identified statistics.
  • Advertising / Targeting — where used, deliver and measure marketing: campaign performance and attribution, frequency capping, and (where permitted) more relevant promotions. Non-essential and subject to the choices in Section 3.

Managing your preferences

Controls available to you today. Browser and device settings — most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies and clear local storage through settings: block all cookies, block only third-party cookies, or delete existing ones. Blocking is device- and browser-specific, may remove saved preferences, and may degrade parts of the Service; disabling Strictly Necessary cookies may break sign-in, checkout, security, or your age-gate status. Email request — ask us to apply a cookie opt-out to your account by emailing [email protected]; we confirm the request and apply it to the account identified in your message, without requiring you to create an account or provide more information than we need. Third-party opt-outs — where a third-party provider listed in Appendix A offers its own opt-out, Appendix A links to it.

Global Privacy Control (being implemented). We are implementing support for the Global Privacy Control (GPC) and similar browser- or extension-based opt-out preference signals, and will honor them before we deploy any advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising technology on the Site. In the meantime, you can opt out by emailing [email protected] or by using your browser settings.

Cookie preference center (not yet available). We do not currently operate a cookie preference center or a per-category cookie toggle; any earlier reference to one was inaccurate and has been removed. We will introduce a preference center that lets you accept or reject each non-essential category, and that lists the specific cookies, providers, purposes, and durations in each category, before we deploy any Advertising/Targeting cookies on the Site and before we direct the Service to EU/UK users, whichever comes first. Until then, Appendix A carries the cookie inventory and the controls above apply.

05

Third-party cookies

Some cookies on the Site are set by third parties that provide services to us — today, bot protection on sign-in and registration and identity verification during creator onboarding; once live checkout launches, payment functions handled by our third-party payment processor. These parties may use cookies, pixels, SDKs, or similar technologies to collect information about your activity over time and across the sites and services they support. We do not control how they use that information; their use is governed by their own privacy and cookie notices, which Appendix A links to. The categories and choices in Section 3 apply to third-party non-essential cookies, and you can manage or reject them with the controls in Section 4.

06

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the technologies we use, our practices, or legal requirements. Changes are reflected in the "Last updated" date, and where appropriate or required we provide more prominent notice (such as re-presenting a consent prompt). Continued use after an update takes effect means you accept the revised policy, except where additional consent is required by law.

Appendix A — cookies currently in use

This inventory is taken from the production site, not from assumption, and is reviewed whenever a script, tag, or vendor is added. If no entry appears in a category, we do not currently use cookies in that category. Session lengths are maximums; cookies are removed earlier when you sign out or clear them.

Not in use: no Analytics/Performance cookies (usage is measured server-side from our own logs, without third-party analytics) and no Advertising/Targeting cookies, pixels, or retargeting identifiers. When live card checkout launches, our payment processor's hosted checkout may set its own strictly necessary cookies for fraud screening; this appendix will be updated before that goes live.
